Born Into Brothels is an India documentary movie. Film-makers Zana Briski and Ross Kauffman unveil a part of prosperous India that little is known about. Wading through the shadowed but notorious back lanes of its red-light district, they be friend a group of children of prostitutes. Eager to expose the dreary secrets of the trade, they inspire the children to photograph various aspects of their lives that will put images to an unspoken truth. In the process, the children become skilled in their new found hobby and thus, find a way out of the disreputable streets they were forced to live in.

His daughter Manimekalai (Bhavana) falls in love with Suriyan while Chandran is after girl next-door Selvi (Sandhya). Coming to know about her daughter’s affair with Suriyan, Namasivayam bumps off Suriyan. The rest is all about how Chandran takes revenge.

Provoked is Hindi movie, based on the true story of Kiranjit Ahluwalia, a battered Punjabi housewife and mother of two in London, who unable to bear the brutality of her abusive husband, kills him. Convicted of murder, she is sentenced to life imprisonment. Support comes from her cellmate, a British woman, who helps her file an appeal, and an Asian organisation which brings in media attention by organising rallies to gather public support for her freedom. She was ultimately freed by the judicial system in a landmark case called “Regina vs. Ahluwalia”, that redefined the word ‘provocation’ in the case of a battered woman. She was subsequently given an award by the Prime Minister’s wife for her crusade against domestic violence.

Unnale Unnale (2007) is a Tamil movie. Karthik (Vinay) is an outgoing software engineer who flirts with every girl that crosses his path. He is sent to Melbourne on business and there, he bumps into his ex-lover, Jhansi (Sada), an introvert. Jhansi and Karthik had been lovers in Chennai but their contrasting attitudes led to their drift. Karthik also meets Deepika (Tanisha), a bubbly girl who tries to bring the ex-lovers together but in the process, she falls for Karthik. Caught between the two, Karthik is left in a fix trying to decide which girl he should walk down the aisle with.
